Dogwood Harbor is the last working 'waterman's harbor' on the
Chesapeake where the water men go out daily for crabs and/or oysters.
Two skip jacks are harbored also. From the 900 sq. feet of decks on two
levels you can see broad expanses of Harris Creek almost to Oxford.
Fishing, sailing and lighthouse touring trips are available. Many
activities from fine dining, to shopping, to crabbing, to visiting a
1000 acre Audubon preserve are nearby or just relaxing and watching the
boats go by. There are boats readily available for touring and fishing.
On the harbor is a skip jack that goes out on tours. At Harrison
Chesapeake House 300 yards away you can go out on boats for striped
bass (rock fish) fishing. Dogwood Harbor has been designated a Scenic
Gateway by Talbot County, Maryland and the US Park Service.
